DUNCAN BROOKS:  Duncan Brooks is owner of Duncan Brooks/Arborist.  He began a landscape maintenance business in the early 1980s and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Earth Science with a concentration in Geology from Baylor in 1986.  By 1990 he had sold his turf maintenance portion of his business to specialize in arboriculture.  From that time until now, his primary services include diagnosis and treatment of diseases and insect problems, pruning, technical removals, implementation of various tree preservation programs, spraying, fertilization and land clearing.  In 1995 he became the first certified arborist in Central Texas between Dallas and Austin.  Duncan Brooks continues with the highest ethical standards in running his company and continues to research and maintain an extensive level of expertise and knowledge regarding arboricultural issues in the Central Texas area.  Because of his professional background, in 2006 he was invited to participate in the new program offered by the Texas Forest Service and the International Society of Arboriculture’s Texas Chapter and  became trained as one of the first Texas Oak Wilt Certified Arborists in the state of Texas.

SETH THOMPSON:  Seth Thompson has been with Duncan Brooks since the fall of 2003.  He graduated cum laude from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.  He then went on to graduate magna cum laude with a Master of Science in Agriculture in August, 2003 (Stephen F. Austin State University.)  He began his work with the company as a Field Representative and through additional studies and job training became a certified arborist in February, 2005 with the International Society of Arborist’s certification program.  Because of his professional background, he was also invited in 2006 to participate in the new program offered by the Texas Forest Service and the International Society of Arboriculture’s Texas Chapter and became one of the first Texas Oak Wilt Certified Arborists in the state of Texas.
